Jake Paul is edging closer to a return.Last time out in November 2025, Paul had his jaw broken by two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in a brutal sixth-round knockout loss. Paul is close to being cleared to spar after suffering a broken jaw against Joshua in NovemberAFPPaul had to drink his Christmas dinner through a straw and underwent two surgeries to fix his jaw.His last operation in February came with strict orders from his doctor that he couldn’t spar for six months. But with August now fast approaching, Paul reveals he is a couple of weeks away from being cleared for full-contact training. As a result, he and his handlers are starting to put the feelers out for his comeback fight, with multiple big names from boxing and MMA being approached. Jake Paul talking to multiple opponents “I’m definitely still fighting; we are in talks right now with multiple opponents, and we’re figuring out when to come back,” Paul told The Pat McAfee Show.“[Recovery is] good; I’m going to get cleared officially to spar in the next couple of weeks.“So we are going to get back to it and continue fighting.“Maybe I’ll do some MMA; we got a lot of stuff coming with MVP soon.“Big promotions, getting more into the MMA world. The feud between MVP and UFC continues.”Terence Crawford and Nate Diaz ‘on the table’While Paul was hesitant to disclose the majority of the names he is pursuing, he did mention two in particular.Crawford is happily retired, but Paul claims he is talking to future first-ballot Hall of FamerGettyPaul also believes a rematch with Diaz in MMA is a genuine possibilityGettyThe first is five-weight world champion Terence Crawford, although that seems unlikely as ‘Bud’ hung up his gloves in December and has shown no sign of budging. “We’re talking to [Terence] Crawford, but he’s retired, so we will see,” added Paul. The other potential fight is a rematch with Nate Diaz in MMA following Paul’s unanimous decision victory over the UFC legend in the squared circle three years ago. “I wrestled Dean Heil (two-time NCAA Division I champion) in high school, super competitive Division I Ohio wrestling; it doesn’t get more legit than that.“I want to do MMA. We have been trying to make the Nate Diaz MMA fight for a long time, and I think it is still on the table.“I’ve never practised MMA, but I’ve wrestled and boxed, so I just need to learn the kicks and the jiu-jitsu.”Watch Boxing on DAZN*If you click a link in this boxout, we will earn affiliate revenueSign up to DAZN to access the definitive subscription for boxing fans.Upgrade to DAZN Ultimate from just £24.99/month, guaranteeing access to 185+ fights annually, a minimum of 12 pay-per-views at no extra cost, as well as every Lega Serie A match and other elite football access.Alternatively, DAZN Standard is just £15.99/month, with the caveat you will have to pay for pay-per-view events.Click here to sign up.
