A total of 1,816 medical and surgical packages are part of it. Cashless health services would be offered at 886 private hospitals and 114 government hospitals. There are a total of 17,88,336 beneficiaries of the scheme, including 4,38,594 government employees, 3,61,955 pensioners and nearly 9.38 lakh of their family members, said Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha. NEHS website launchedThe Health Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka launched the scheme and its portal (https://nehs.telangana.gov.in/) at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad. The beneficiaries can download digital health cards from the website. The process of claiming insurance, from pre-authorisation to claims settlement, is digitised, said Mr. Raja Narasimha.The procedure to download the health card was mentioned in a post from the handle of the Health Minister’s office on X. The government employees and pensioners were asked to visit the website, login using their employee ID & password or One Time Password (OTP). They have to go to ‘Quick Actions’ and download the card. Information on packages and network hospitalsThe website also has details of the district-wise network hospitals - their address and Aarogya Mithra’s name and phone number.Government Orders (G.O.s) pertaining to the scheme,list of the packages, location of Wellness Centres and phone numbers too are available. The State government has earlier issued an order dated June 29 directing officers concerned to deduct 1.5% of basic pay of employees or basic pension of pensioners as contribution towards Employee Health Scheme (EHS) fund.Mr. Raja Narasimha said that the government will contribute an amount equal to the contributions of the employees and pensioners, in implementation of the scheme.The Health Minister said that the scheme would be managed by Employees Health Care Trust (EHCT) headed by the Chief Secretary.
