A stunning four-day destination wedding in Malta has caught international attention after being featured by Vogue India, showcasing the island’s historic venues, culture and scenery.The publication spotlighted Lavina Sabnani and Dr Amanda Friday’s celebrations, which brought together Hindu traditions and Friday’s Honduran-American heritage across some of Malta’s most iconic locations, including Villa Bighi, Limestone Heritage, Villa Bologna and Fort St Elmo.Among the wedding’s standout moments were an all-female mariachi band celebrating Friday’s heritage and 180 handwritten letters, with the couple writing a personalised note for every single guest, describing each person’s unique “superpower”.The celebrations also embraced Malta itself, with guests enjoying Valletta’s Grand Harbour, local performer Sean Kamati and even fireworks from the island’s summer festa season during the Sangeet.Speaking to Vogue India, Sabnani said she had dreamed of getting married in Malta since attending a family friend’s wedding on the island as a child, while the Mediterranean location also made it easier for loved ones travelling from different continents to celebrate together.Which country would you choose for a destination wedding?Images: Vogue India•
