Yellow alert for four districts on July 18 - The HinduUpdated - July 17, 2026 09:57 pm IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAMParts of Kerala are likely to receive isolated heavy showers for the next few days triggered by the reinvigorated monsoon conditions.A yellow alert has been issued for Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Malappuram districts on Saturday (July 18) where isolated heavy rain is expected.Five districts including Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Malappuram have also been put on yellow alert on Sunday as well.According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological department (IMD) on Friday, a trough runs from the southwest Bay of Bengal to North Lakshadweep area across north Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and north Kerala at 7.6 km above mean sea level.
