Berchimas, Cupps, Ramos headline USMNT U-19 roster for CONCACAF U-20 Championship

The U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team will look to become the latest American squad to seal a World Cup berth. Nimfasha Berchimas, Christopher Cupps, and Ruben Ramos Jr headlined Gonzalo Segares’ 21-player roster that will represent the United States at the 2026 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. Several of the players called into the roster have past tournament experience at different youth national team levels.The squad features 15 players from 13 different Major League Soccer clubs, two from the USL Championship, three European clubs, and one from collegiate soccer.The tournament will run from July 24-August 9 in Mexico, with four teams clinching berths into the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Qualified nations will also seal spots into the 2027 Pan American Games and the 2028 Summer Olympics, a tournament that the United States is hosting in Los Angeles. The Americans have been drawn into Group A and will face Haiti on July 25, El Salvador on July 28 and Cuba on July 31. All three matches will kick off at 9 p.m. ET from Estadio Cuauhtemoc in Puebla, Mexico.“We are excited to bring together this group of players to represent our country,” said Segares. “This tournament provides us important, competitive matches for qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the Pan American Games, which will provide this group more high-level competition as they continue to develop.
