The Malta Police Force is urging the public not to fall for a viral social media post claiming that strangers are approaching women in shopping centre car parks with discounted perfume samples that cause them to lose consciousness before being robbed.According to the police, the story is a hoax and has been circulating in different forms for more than 25 years.The force said it is aware of the post making the rounds online and is advising people to ignore it if they receive it.While the police continue to encourage the public to remain vigilant and report genuine suspicious activity, they stressed that this particular story is completely false.•
