What does it mean to be human in a world increasingly shaped by AI, avatars and robots? That’s the question at the heart of Avatars, Monsters, {Robots}, Ghosts, a new solo exhibition by Ukrainian artist and researcher Letta Shtohryn, now open at Valletta Contemporary. The exhibition explores how technology is changing the way we see ourselves, using digital art, AI, video, game development and immersive storytelling to examine identity in an increasingly connected world.Visitors can expect everything from floor-cleaning robots transformed into ritualistic figures to local legends reimagined through AI chatbots, alongside installations exploring machine vision, digital memory and the blurred boundaries between people and technology.Shtohryn’s work has been exhibited internationally at venues including Centre Pompidou, Frieze New York, Ars Electronica Festival and MUŻA in Malta. An artist-led tour with Shtohryn will also take place on 22nd July between 5pm and 6:30pm, giving visitors the chance to explore the ideas and technologies behind the exhibition.Avatars, Monsters, {Robots}, Ghosts runs until 14th August at Valletta Contemporary, with free admission.•
