/u/NotEasilyConfused on I ❤️ a story w/ a happy ending. Remember the kid yesterday who needed $15K for a trip to S Africa to see his BFF who he met on an Italian cruise? OMG, his house burned down in the fires in Canada today so he now needs $ for housing

Wait 5 sec.

I knew about his scammy vacay post yesterday (and commented on it). But, I'm half asleep and wildly misinterpreted what was going on in your story for a minute. lol I thought, even if it was this POS's house that burned down, it's not happy, it's horrifying. Definitely time for bed if I can't recognize real happy endings anymore! Thank you for posting this and for spearheading the drive to get his account banned. You are awesome. I live close enough (~60 miles) to the Aspen Acres fire in Colorado that ash fell on my house the 3rd of July when we had single-digit humidity, +95°f temps, and strong winds. Fires could have begun anywhere along that path. Hundreds of homes have been lost for real where the fire is still burning. People have had to relocate their large animals to the state fairgrounds so they don't perish. Aspen acres is a big fire with lots of destruction and STILL nowhere near what they are dealing with in Canada. This guy is disgusting trying to capitalize on that kind of suffering and he needs to be taken down.
