Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam performed in Tirumala - The HinduPublished - July 14, 2026 08:39 pm IST - TIRUMALAAhead of the annual Anivara Asthanam festival on July 17, 2026, the ceremonial cleansing ‘Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam’ festival was observed on Tuesday (July 14) at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara.As part of the ceremony, the sanctum, sub-shrines, temple premises, kitchens, walls, ceilings, and puja articles were thoroughly cleansed. The presiding deity was temporarily covered with a cloth while the shrine was sanctified with fragrant herbal mixture prepared from traditional aromatic ingredients that act as a disinfectant.The darshan lines which were interrupted in the early morning resumed after nearly four hours.
