Samsung launched its first object tracker, the Galaxy SmartTag, in January 2021. Nearly three years later, the brand unveiled its successor, the Galaxy SmartTag 2. Now, the company appears to be preparing the third-generation model, the Galaxy SmartTag 3, which is expected to arrive around three years after its predecessor.According to Roland Quandt, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy SmartTag 3 alongside the Galaxy S26 FE. Since the company unveiled the Galaxy S25 FE in October 2025 and has consistently refreshed the Fan Edition lineup annually, the Galaxy S26 FE is expected to debut in October 2026. If that timeline holds, Samsung's next object tracker is still about nine months away. While Quandt hasn't revealed what improvements the Galaxy SmartTag 3 will bring, and there have been no other leaks about its features either, that hasn't stopped us from thinking about what Samsung should add. Here are the features we'd like to see in the Galaxy SmartTag 3.Speaking of new Samsung devices, the brand has scheduled a Galaxy Unpacked event for July 22, 2026, where the company will launch its next flagship foldable smartphones and smartwatches, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and Galaxy Watch 9.
