No casualties or injuries were reported.According to Fire and Emergency Services officials, the control room received an alert at 9.41 a.m., and a fire tender was despatched within a minute. Preliminary investigation indicated that the fire originated in the hospital’s mortuary room.“Patients were immediately evacuated as a precautionary measure,” a Fire and Emergency Services officer said.Firefighters brought the blaze under control, and the operation concluded by 11.30 a.m.According to officials, a suspected short circuit sparked a fire at the hospital, filling sections of the building with thick smoke and prompting the immediate evacuation of patients as a precaution. The incident occurred at around 9.30 a.m. on the first floor of the hospital.
