Alex Crook’s cowboy hat, Jim White jaywalking, Jude Bellingham’s goals in Miami, line dancing and a horrible breakfast. They are just some of the memories made by talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham following England around the United States.Durham has followed England around the US, hosting our World Cup radio coverageGettyDurham travelled the States for nearly two months, covering the Three Lions at the World Cup and having plenty of fun too.His trip has been incredible, but some stays stand out more than others – so here’s a ranking of the top five cities he has visited: 5 – Winter Park, OrlandoThis is where we stayed for the second England friendly. If you’ve ever seen the film The Truman Show, Winter Park is a bit like that, but without the sinister edge that the film has. It was a nice, calm and pleasant place to be. I might go out of my mind with boredom if I lived there full time, though.MEMORABLE MOMENT: Ordering a classic American breakfast of peanut butter and jelly waffles – big mistake. Disgusting.I thought the peanut butter and jelly waffles would be a good idea, but I was wrongAdrian Durham | talkSPORT4 – Dallas It surprised me how enjoyable the stay in Dallas was. There are some characters wandering the streets for sure, but when you add in Fort Worth you’ve got a whole range of things on your doorstep. Dallas is where history happened when JFK [John F Kennedy] was shot and the Book Depository museum is one of the best of its kind that I’ve been to.Line dancing, visiting Southfork, decent restaurants, and a brilliant stadium made Dallas so memorable.MEMORABLE MOMENT: Alex Crook discovered his Texas hat here.Crooky’s hat has travelled across the USA with him throughout the tournament3 – TampaThis was the first stop on my World Cup trip because England played their first warm-up friendly there.I’m not sure I could afford to live there, but it’s looking good. They’ve developed it well in recent years and it’s regularly near the top of desirable places to live in the USA. It was a lovely way to start the seven weeks away.MEMORABLE MOMENT: Hattricks Sports Bar. Unforgettable.I had an unforgettable time at this spot in Tampa where I began my World Cup trip with talkSPORT all those weeks ago in JuneAdrian Durham | talkSPORT2 – New YorkIt’s manic, and I couldn’t understand why people wouldn’t want to live there, but it also grabs hold of you. So much to see and do, so many monuments and landmarks, Central Park is incredible, but most of you know this already. I’ll never ever get bored of going to New York.MEMORABLE MOMENT: Feeling helpless as I watched Jim White jaywalking into traffic and the subsequent oblivion around 6th Avenue.England beating Norway thanks to Bellingham’s goals will live long in the memoryGetty1 – Miami The schedule took us twice to Miami, including a stay of 6 days. I am forever grateful for this. I’d never been before. In Miami – and we weren’t even staying in South Beach – my quality of life improved on arrival, and I was already very happy before! But in Miami I even started to appreciate the sunshine – being pale and ginger, the sun has been a lifelong enemy, but it actually made me feel good in Florida. You can’t help but be happy in Miami. And the people were by far the friendliest there.MEMORABLE MOMENT: England beating Norway, of course!
