Yes & no. We started in the bottom 25% & have clawed our way to the top 10%, we see this type of attitude often...&its difficult to blame the kids(yes, 18 is still a kid). Sounds like this person had parents who shielded them from anything "unpleasant" & they were raised with great privledge....if it is any consolation, life will likely knock them around a good bit!!! We personally have 2 sets of kids, the older kids saw both sides, we have had to be INCREDIBLY intentional to prevent my younger 3 from being like OOP...and not everyone realizes that. I may not have either if not for having 2 sets of kids, so it was easier to identify the "problem" in the younger set. Yes, it is disgusting, but it is also par for course in kids raised a certain way.
