SharePaulo Dybala could have left Roma on a free transfer, but the Argentine forward has instead signed a one-year contract.Roma have struck an agreement with Paulo Dybala for their talisman to stay at the Stadio Olimpico for another year.Dybala had been a free agent since the end of last season.However, the 32-year-old was widely expected to stay at Roma, who he joined from Juventus in 2022.Roma have now confirmed Dybala has put pen to paper on a new deal to keep him at the Serie A club through the 2026-27 season.Dybala has played 140 times in all competitions for Roma.Over the past four years, Dybala leads Roma for goal involvements (73), goals (45), assists (48) and chances created (260)."The story continues, it's what we all want, to have another season here, another year in this city and this country," Dybala said."It's a privilege to be able to keep wearing the Roma shirt."Roma means a lot of things. Responsibility, honour, beauty. There are also personal reasons why I want to stay here and defend these colours. It's a huge honour."Dybala has reportedly agreed to a pay cut with his new deal.
