OMG, bats?! That would freak me out so badly! I wouldn't trust furniture on the side of the road these days, but I can remember back when I was a kid that that was a legit way to get new furniture, and get rid of old (good) furniture. Now it's only the things with bugs (or bats) that don't get sold for whatever they can get for it.
