Tripura Director General of Police Anurag Dhankar was discovered hanging in his chamber bathroom. He was promptly transported to a hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased. Doctors confirmed his death after examining his vital signs and sent the body for a post-mortem. Dhankar, a 1994-batch IPS officer, assumed charge as DGP last year. He previously served as DGP for Intelligence in Tripura.
