We haven't seen all our adult children in the same room in 20 years! Our 10 grandchildren have never all been together. The military and life in general have a way of making things harder. We're hoping that this September for my birthday, we can all be together for one day. But it would never occur to me to ask strangers to pay for a trip overseas to reconnect with people I knew for a few days. Heck, I wouldn't ask for folks to fund a trip for our family to be together!
