Dominant GI American Pharoah Stakes hero Hughes (Into Mischief) has come out of his win in fine form, and will now be pointed toward the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Keeneland.Trainer Bob Baffert was already in Kentucky Sunday morning to tend to his string there, but longtime assistant trainer Jimmy Barnes was on hand to provide the positive prognosis, saying, “He came out of the race in great shape. Now it's off to the Breeders' Cup.”Barnes added that shipping plans for Hughes joining the Kentucky string had not been finalized, but said that the colt would be leaving 'sooner rather than later'.Domain Expansion to Target Juvenile FilliesThe 14-1 spoiler in the GII Oak Leaf Stakes, Domain Expansion (Speaker's Corner) has emerged from her effort bright and alert and will likely be pointed to the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies at Keeneland in her next start.“She's only had two starts so it won't be an easy feat when you compare it to some of the other fillies that have more experience, but she showed yesterday that she belongs,” trainer Leonard Powell said.Should she make the gate, Domain Expansion would be Powell's fourth Breeders' Cup starter in addition to collecting the conditioner's second graded stakes win on the main track last Saturday.“With this filly, from the beginning when started working her, she showed she breathed different air,” Powell said. “She came out of the [Oak Leaf] extremely well. We're very happy with her performance.”The post Santa Anita Updates: Hughes to Target Juvenile, Domain Expansion Eyeing Juvenile Fillies appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
