British national arrested in connection with RAF Fairford incidentPublished6 October 2026, 13:23 BSTUpdated 1 minute agoA 22-year-old British national has been arrested on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts in connection with an incident close to RAF Fairford, counter-terror police said. He was arrested in Westminster, London, on Tuesday as part of the investigation into the incident near the airbase in Gloucestershire last month. It is the seventh arrest in connection to the incident - the six other men have been released on bail. Senior national coordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing, Vicki Evans, said it "remains a live investigation" and police are continuing to "pursue multiple lines of enquiry".This breaking news story is being updated and more details will be published shortly.
