Godolphin continue to dominate the early exchanges at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, with a second seven-figure purchase on Tuesday coming in the shape of lot 40, a Blue Point filly offered by Ballyhimikin Stud on behalf of breeder Trevor Stewart. She was knocked down to Sheikh Mohammed's buying team for 1.1 million gns.The filly is out of the winning Gleneagles mare Holly Golightly who, in turn, is out of Stewart's G2 King's Stand Stakes and G2 Temple Stakes heroine Cassandra Go (Indian Ridge), the dam of four individual black-type performers.Cassandra Go's most notable offspring is the three-time Group 1 scorer Halfway To Heaven (Pivotal), whose own daughters by Galileo include the multiple Group 1 scorers Magical and Rhododendron. The latter is herself the dam of Coolmore stallion Auguste Rodin, who counted the Derby and Breeders' Cup Turf among his six top-level victories.“It's so exciting because every daughter – I think Cassandra Go had a few – has made a million,” said Stewart. “And every daughter has had a million-pound yearling, which is just amazing. And, I hate to say this, but she has an even nicer City Of Troy filly foal, which will certainly not be sold. So, it's very exciting.“I have three daughters on the farm – three daughters, two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. I keep saying, every time I sell something like this, there'll be no more releases. But, I'm afraid, financially sometimes you have to release something.”The post Godolphin Again as Blue Point Filly Commands 1,100,000gns at Tattersalls Book 1 appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
