This release is about Automatic: the app finding the way out by itself, so that nobody has to try settings by hand. Install it over your current version — your identity and settings stay.Automatic keeps looking, and repeats what workedEvery way out keeps trying for the whole search. Psiphon used to get one window of five and a half minutes and then sit idle while the rest of the search ran on. It now keeps going for as long as the search does, and the engine and Tor go round again while there is time for them. What got out is remembered with the tactic that got it out. On a network that answers only a split ClientHello, an Encrypted Client Hello or the nested tunnel, the next connect goes straight to it instead of starting again from the plain attempts. The HTTP/2 endpoint check resends its probe. A single lost packet no longer gets a working endpoint judged dead.Automatic no longer inherits settings made for a manual search. A transport fixed to WireGuard, WARP-in-WARP or nested MASQUE leads the engine's attempts instead of being all of them; the slow search depths of the Patchy and Strict profiles are capped; a pinned endpoint falls back. A carrier chosen by hand still runs exactly what was chosen.Registration can go through the carrier that got out. On a network that cannot reach Cloudflare's registration directly, the engine now registers through the route that is already working, and the next connect can be its own.Everyone is on Automatic onceThe Automatic switch used to be saved together with every other setting. On 1.6.1, where Automatic was opt-in, changing the language or answering the battery prompt stored "off" — and every build since read that as a choice. This release reads the old value once: anyone who had a single carrier is on Automatic again and can pick manual again under Routes. Two-carrier chains stay as they were. From upstream Aether 2.1.0A split ClientHello now breaks inside the server name, and registration gains a split TLS 1.3 fingerprint.WireGuard's firewall and gfw obfuscation profiles, which used to fall back to balanced.WARP-in-WARP survives its inner tunnel changing port.Traffic on the notificationWhile connected, the notification shows the current download and upload rates. From 1.9.4If you are coming from 1.9.3: "DNS inside the tunnel" works in whole-device mode, and MASQUE-in-MASQUE connects.Verification376 engine tests and 275 app unit tests, all green. The Automatic changes were installed and tested on a phone before release.
