Nurses: What’s one thing about your supply/treatment cart that drives you crazy?

Wait 5 sec.

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m working on a small product-design project and I’m trying to solve a **real problem that nurses actually deal with**. I’m interested in the everyday annoyances with **treatment carts, supply carts, procedure carts, and transporting supplies**. I have some ideas, but I don’t want to assume I know what nurses need — so I’d rather hear it directly from you. **I’m not selling anything and I’m not asking for any patient or facility information.** I’m just looking for honest feedback from people who actually use these carts. If you have a couple minutes, I’d really appreciate your answers: **1. What type of facility do you work in?** 🏥 Hospital 🏠 Nursing home / skilled nursing / rehab 🩺 Clinic 🚑 Urgent care 🧑‍⚕️ Surgery center 🏡 Home health Other: **2. What’s your role?** RN / LPN / CNA / MA / NP / wound care / surgical / other **3. Do you regularly use a treatment, supply, procedure, or medication cart?** Yes / No / Occasionally **4. Do you know the brand/model of the cart you use?** If so, I’d love to know it. **5. What’s the #1 thing about your cart that annoys you?** **6. What supplies are the hardest to organize or find quickly?** **7. Do supplies ever get buried, mixed together, fall over, or otherwise become difficult to find?** If yes, what supplies? **8. Do you ever need to take supplies from your cart into a patient’s room?** If yes, how do you carry them? **9. What’s annoying about the way you currently carry those supplies?** **10. Do you ever find yourself improvising a solution because your cart doesn’t have the holder, divider, hook, tray, etc. that you need?** If yes, what have you improvised? **11. If you could add ONE thing to your cart to make your job easier, what would it be?** **12. Is there anything you constantly wish your cart had more of?** Storage / workspace / hooks / compartments / organization / something else? **13. What’s one small task involving your cart that wastes more of your time than it should?** **14. Would a small reusable, easy-to-clean caddy that could hold supplies for ONE patient/treatment be useful?** Definitely / Maybe / Probably not / No And **why?** **15. Forget everything I’ve suggested above — what’s ONE inexpensive tool, organizer, holder, or accessory that you wish existed to make your job easier?** **That’s the question I’m most interested in.** I’m trying to find those little problems that healthcare workers deal with every day but manufacturers haven’t really solved. Please don’t include patient names, facility names, medical records, or any confidential information. **Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to respond!** 🙏 submitted by /u/Dalebcreepin [link] [comments]
