Galco has rolled out the Combat Master 2.0, an updated take on its long-running Combat Master pancake belt holster, and the lineup now includes a fit for the Glock 17.The headline change for this leather OWB holster is the optic cutaway. According to Galco, the Combat Master 2.0 is cut to accommodate most carry-style optics while still working with iron-sighted pistols, so it covers either setup on your Glock 17. Galco says the cutaway also allows "the pistol to clear leather even faster," which the company credits with promoting a quicker, smoother draw for shorter-waisted shooters.Construction follows the Galco playbook: premium steerhide, hand-molded by the company's craftsmen to the specific handgun, with double-stitched seams. Galco says the detailed hand-molding gives the rig "excellent retention properties along with a beautiful appearance." A raised sweat guard sits between the pistol and the wearer, protecting both. This is a traditional high-riding pancake design. The twin belt slots flank the holster body, drawing the handgun in close for concealment while distributing weight across the belt for comfort. Those slots accept belts up to 1 3/4 inches wide. Up top, the holster is open with full firing-grip access for a quick draw.Specs:Construction: premium steerhide, hand-molded, double-stitched seamsDesign: high-riding pancake, open top, twin belt slotsOptic cutaway: fits most carry optics or iron sightsRaised sweat guardBelt fit: up to 1 3/4 in.Galco lists the Glock 17 version as model CM2-224R; check Galco's site for pricing, color options and ordering details.
