Hey everyone! I’m continuing my pen-sketched comic series and recreating each frame as an animated Blender scene in the same style. This is the fourth frame of the series about a black cat exploring the world. After leaving the safety of the bookshop, the cat reaches a quiet misty park and notices a deer somewhere in the distance. For this one, I experimented with a slightly different approach: the foreground still uses procedural cross-hatching and Grease Pencil details, but the fog and distant elements use hand-made stippling textures so they gradually dissolve into the mist. I also used layered 2D fog cards, simple 3D geometry, a hand-drawn 2D deer, Grease Pencil plants/details, and subtle animation to build the final scene. The full process breakdown is here if anyone wants to see how it was made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfZtg8GSIxs&list=PLE_9wQcb5xkQ submitted by /u/InternationalMeet280 [link] [comments]
