Kameko is staying at Tweenills Stud after a group of British breeders secured a deal to source the 2,000 Guineas winner from Qatar Bloodstock. Wimbledon Hawkeye advertised Kameko's capabilities at ParisLongchamp on Sunday when landing the G2 Qatar Prix Dollar for trainer George Scott and owners Victorious Forever. After courting interest from abroad, a deal was brokered through Tweenhills' David Redvers and bloodstock agent Billy Jackson-Stops to keep Kameko at Tweenhills. He will continue to stand alongside Lightning Spear and Tweenhills newbie King Of Change. Redvers said, “We are thrilled a superb group of British breeders have joined forces to secure Kameko to enable him to remain with us in Britain. He was a record-breaking Group 1 two-year-old and Classic winner and continues to give British and Irish breeders the opportunity to utilise a proven stallion at a commercially attractive price. His stock is very durable and his niche at stud appears to be 8f-10f, which is the sweet spot for owners and breeders with huge international appeal.”Redvers added, “With five Stakes winners so far this season, Kameko is deservedly earning a reputation for producing tough racehorses with the class to compete at the top level, both domestically and internationally.” A son of Kitten's Joy, Kameko stood for £15,000 in 2026. His fee for 2027 will be released later in the year.
