Btw: we don’t get free meals either. Here in Canada we have to hit 5hrs to receive a break and free meal. Since I started working here I’ve not received a single meal. And don’t get me started on understaffed, bad working conditions. Since I get scheduled for both morning line/chips+ I have to be in cash till peak hr. So I w commute I have my first meal 3-4pm. Note all my shifts are just under 5hr. Like today I was at 4hrs and 58 mins and my manager clocked me out and said she’d do cash checkout herself because she did not want to give free meal. Whatever I was hungry, and was going to buy a burrito. Something happened with pos and I couldn’t tap my card. So she said I can’t take the burrito. Note I’m 2 minutes from a meal, starving, and also did chips and line and cash opening(hired as a cashier), and just a fellow employee. But she said I couldn’t have it.
