Reported an incident, unsure if text from manager is a red flag or just part of the investigation process.

Wait 5 sec.

Reported an incident at work. This staff member has been an issue for a while but this was the biggest and most public blow up besides the previous comments privately btwn 2 parties. Got a text from manager following up, but in the text she said "There has to be no further discussion of this incident without leadership present, and any retaliatory behavior from any party will not be tolerated. That statement is not meant to be intimidating, just to make it very clear that we are taking this seriously and are trying to handle it as fairly and confidentially as possible". Now I am aware of my PTSD when it comes to paperwork and documentation due to previous jobs screwing me over. Her text sounds like a very legal response to me, but im just a little scared that somehow this will turn around on me, even though i did nothing wrong, besides discussing it very briefly beyond when it initially happened with the present staff and the few employees that approached me after it happened (not present but were somewhere else on the floor at the time and heard it from other staff). The staff that approached me just told me their struggles with the offending staff member, i did not really divulge details. I encouraged the staff members who approached me to talk to the manager about their issues with her immediately. submitted by /u/ekot1234 [link] [comments]
