it really just gets so annoying. it feels like they're desperately trying to make themselves look better by announcing that the update was coming earlier than previous years- only to ONCE AGAIN change a release date! I cannot stand being told one thing only to be told another thing later- like they're constantly getting our hopes up by telling us all about their unrealistic expectations for themselves, only to act like poor things who are just doing their best on their "little dress up game🥺" whenever they fall short- its OLD. they are not a small brand anymore, it's been nearly 3 years and we still can't get consistent transparency from them. they need to stop telling us about everything they HOPE to do and only tell us about the things that they KNOW they can and will do! we wouldn't have "such high expectations" for them if they weren't the ones setting them to begin with. and like I kinda mentioned in my tweet, every single seasonal/holiday update comes too late to actually enjoy the season/holiday in DTI! like even if you play for 2-6 hours every single day after the update goes live, you STILL can't earn all of the holiday items in time for holiday itself without spending money- even with vip. I get that in the grand scheme of life itself that this isn't that deep, but in regards to our shared hobby in this community: this is a big, annoying deal. EDIT: mind you, I personally play more like 6-12 hours a day when the update first goes live, and it's still impossible to earn all of the items in time for the actual holiday, like bye.   submitted by   /u/urlocalburden [link]   [comments]
