My BIL has insisted that every artist he knows should try out my sister’s tattoo machine, and of course he offers himself as a canvas. 😂 But because of that I have, on more than one occasion, given him a tattoo (as well as my mom). I can’t even claim to be a novice, just someone who has had a tattoo machine and ink thrust at her half a dozen times simply because she’s an artist. And I’ve had people come out of the woodwork to offer to be a canvas, of course for free. I don’t even own the equipment! The lure of a free tattoo is strong with people. So strong they’ll come begging someone with effectively no experience.
