A few months ago I came across Thomas Ryberg's Linkedin post about switching to Tuta Mail, which is one of the many small steps he has been taking to move away from Big Tech, and wanted to know more. For more than 25 years, Thomas Ryberg has explored how technology can support group processes, learning, and collaboration. Today, he is a Professor of Digital Learning at Aalborg University in Denmark. For him, choosing to move away from Big Tech services like Meta and Google is not because he has something to hide. He simply doesn't want Tech Giants to make money off his data.
