The bizarre case of an alleged ghost encounter at a Xewkija farmhouse has made its way to parliament, where the mystery has now taken another unusual turn.PN MP Beppe Galea asked Home Affairs Minister Glenn Bedingfield whether police had returned to the residence following the alleged incident during the night of 22nd and 23rd September. He also asked what investigative steps had been taken, including whether statements were collected, inspections conducted or evidence gathered.Bedingfield’s written parliamentary reply was brief: “The requested information has disappeared!”The tongue-in-cheek response follows the viral story of a group of Maltese guests who called police at around 2am after claiming they were being attacked by an apparition while staying at the farmhouse. One guest reportedly claimed he was slammed against a bed and saw a man pass through a closed glass door. Another described seeing a figure with a white face and no eyes, while guests also alleged that kitchen appliances moved or switched on by themselves and that a voice could be heard inside the property.Police confirmed at the time that officers responded to a request for assistance and found the guests outside. Nobody required medical attention, and inquiries ruled out the involvement of third parties.•
