'Nightcaps' is a daily column that catches you up on the biggest sports, news and culture stories you may have missed while pretending to do work at your desk. It runs Monday-Friday on OutKick.com.For all of you, it is Tuesday. For me, it's Friday.Because tomorrow, my happy butt is getting on a plane and flying to Myrtle Beach for a little girl's trip with one of my best friends from grad school. I am looking forward to a few days of beach-rotting, water sports, seafood and... the Mini Golf Masters.Yes, that is a thing. And I will be attending Championship Saturday.CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK SPORTS COVERAGEI have no idea what to expect. Is it like regular golf? Does everyone have to be quiet and silence their phones? Is there a dress code? Will there be green jackets? Do the professionals absolutely nail the windmill hole every single time?Rest assured, I will report back.In the meantime, let's do some Nightcaps! You remember Gia Duddy, right? She went ultra mega viral as Will Levis' hot girlfriend during the 2023 NFL Draft — until they broke up five minutes later, Levis publicly professed his love for mayonnaise and then Gia became an influencer. There was also that video leak... but we won't go there.Anyway, now she's dating Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas. And I know this because Iosivas confirmed it himself while fighting with some random dude in Gia's Instagram comments. It started when Gia posted photos from Sunday's Bengals game, and someone commented asking who her mystery man was. Another guy responded, "WR45 on the depth chart Andrei Iosivas."Which is objectively a pretty funny way to answer that question.Iosivas, however, did not find it funny."plz get ur husband off my girls page," he responded, tagging the guy's wife.Oh, we're doing this. The guy fired back that Iosivas should "get back to running special teams coverage" and said Gia had been "passed around half the league."Gia then jumped in herself, tagged the wife AGAIN and called the guy a great role model for his daughters. From there, it just got nastier, and I'm not going to reprint the whole thing here. But I do appreciate finding out about a new relationship via an NFL wide receiver fighting for his life in his girlfriend's Instagram comments.Gia does seem to be settling nicely into her second stint as an NFL WAG, though.Well, except for one small problem. She has to live in Ohio.STAY "FEARLESS" ON THE GO! TAKE TOMI LAHREN WITH YOU. DOWNLOAD THE TLIF PODCAST NOW!Last week, Gia posted a TikTok lamenting the less glamorous side of WAG life, namely that roster moves keep taking all her friends away. One of them was apparently headed to Miami."B****, I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio. You're going to Miami? Bring me with you," she said.Apparently eating Skyline Chili and going to King's Island whenever you want aren't selling points for everyone.Listen, Gia, it could be worse. Your boyfriend might be 45th on the depth chart, but he still makes NFL money. You can fly to Miami. Some people are stuck in Ohio full time. Think of those poor souls! In an NFL where players arrive to the stadium decked out in designer outfits and carrying $20,000 Louis Vuitton bags (what are they even carrying in there?), you have to respect Brock Purdy's commitment to showing up every Sunday dressed like a Kohl's ad.Mr. Irrelevant. Forever humble.Apparently, Purdy's game-day fits have become enough of a thing that his wife, Jenna, showed him a post from a 49ers fan roasting his fashion choices. But this man is not trying to make a fashion statement. He just wants to be comfortable, darn it!And, honestly, Brock Purdy can show up to Levi's Stadium in cargo shorts, Crocs and a Kirkland Signature polo for all I care. The 49ers are 4-0, and through four weeks, he's playing as well as any quarterback in football. The NFL's own QB rankings have him at No. 1.Meanwhile, here in Tennessee, the Titans would settle for a quarterback who shows up dressed like the guy changing your oil at Jiffy Lube if he could win a football game. And at this point, Jiffy Lube guy might actually be an upgrade over Cam Ward. Not that I have any room to talk as a fan of the God-forsaken Miami Dolphins. I knew you would.Gene in the Rock writes: Your empty mailbag... Positively NOT okay. I know you're up to your arse in largemoth bass with launching OKO, but I think I know what would fill it up.How about a Muttkick Outdoors column? Rocky would love you and so would we.Amber:You know, a weekly column all about dogs is not the worst idea I've ever heard. Let's start with this Corgi named Banana and his ice-cold look back.Eric P. writes: What do ya mean you have an empty mail box.. I look forward to see my friends every week.. -DukeDusty T. writes: Here is a pic of our family hounds, Monroe (left) and Ladybug. This is what happens when it dips below 80 degrees in Phoenix...I know you were a writer for the Diamondbacks early in your career, so wanted to get your take on Torey Lovullo. Should they keep him?Amber:I like Torey Lovullo. The players seem to like playing for him, and I don't think all of the their recent shortcomings can fairly be pinned on the manager — especially with the injuries they've dealt with and the lack of consistent production at spots like first base and DH.He is the winningest manager in franchise history, after all, and got them to a World Series. At the same time, after 10 years, I understand the fanbase getting antsy. But it doesn’t matter what me or you or the man in the moon thinks because the D-backs already extended him for two more years.Jon C. writes: Hope your training [for the Spartan Race] pays off, as one of their tag lines says "You’ll know at the finish line". Looks like you’ll have the possibility of rain so more mud more fun. A few gear tips: 1 - everything dry fit. Don’t need anything that soaks up water because it will just weigh you down. 2 - knee high socks to cut down scrapes and scratches that you will collect. 3 - trail running shoes, more stable. Definite no on your typical waffle bottom jogging shoes. No grip and mud will collect and stick making feel like you are running with ankle weights. I initially looked at the Nashville race but then the football schedule came out and Vols home game so making the wife happy. Here is a dog pick from last summer at the UT Gardens on campus.SIGN UP FOR THE DAILY OUTKICK NEWSLETTERAmber:Don't be disappointed in me, Jon, but I decided not to do the Spartan Race this time around. First, the friend who was going to do it with me backed out. Then, I ended up having to travel a bunch over the past month, which would have severely derailed my training schedule.Excuses are like a**holes, everyone has one. I know. Or maybe that's what they say about opinions?Regardless, after middle Tennessee turned into a rainy, muddy mess on what would have been my race day this past Saturday, I'm kind of glad I bailed. And, hey, at least I didn't do this:Nebraska Niemo writes: So glad you got to spend some time on the water in Branson. Pretty nice place…not as nice as Pigeon Forge, you’re right…but pretty nice for the middle of America (approximately….I’m not a geographer).Just wanted your e-mail inbox to not be ‘empty’ this time. Here’s a pic of my three golden pups. We have a red (Nalla), Tan (Winston) and English Cream (Cooper)…Amber:Beautiful pups!I love that you have the full golden color spectrum. I want to do that with German Shepherds. I already have a sable — now I just need a white one, a black one, and a black and tan one.But first, I'd have to buy a bigger house, a bigger car and several more vacuum cleaners.Speaking of my time on the water in Branson, though, please like and subscribe:C'mon, y'all had to know I wouldn't make it through a whole Nightcaps column without a shameless OutKick OutDoors plug.
