Spurs Web has revisited every Tottenham youngster to have featured on the Next Gen list over the past twelve years, examining where each player’s career has taken them since.Spurs Web recently reported that 16-year-old Oscar Sandiford is the latest youngster to make the Guardian’s Next Gen list.The teenager joined Tottenham at 14, moving from Crystal Palace to north London, and has since made rapid progress, stepping up from the Under-16s to the Under-18s despite still being school-aged.Tottenham will hope Sandiford continues his development all the way to the senior squad, but he is far from the first Spurs youngster to be recognised in the Next Gen list. He has since flourished at Celtic, becoming a first-choice centre-back, winning multiple Scottish Premiership titles and establishing himself as a United States international. He remains a regular in 2026/27, starting all six of Celtic’s league games so far.2015: Marcus Edwards Edwards made just one senior appearance for Tottenham before leaving in 2019. His career took off in Portugal with Vitória Guimarães and Sporting CP, where he made 120 appearances and scored 24 goals. He returned to England with Burnley in 2025, initially on loan before a permanent move. He has started three Championship matches this season, though minutes have been limited.2016: Tashan Oakley-Boothe Oakley-Boothe made one senior appearance for Spurs in the 2017 EFL Cup before joining Stoke City in 2020. His career has since taken him through Lincoln City, Blackpool and Portugal’s Estrela da Amadora, before settling at Dunfermline Athletic. He has made seven appearances in 2026/27 but is no longer a regular starter.2017: Oliver Skipp Skipp became one of the more successful names on this list, making 106 appearances for Spurs, including 77 in the Premier League. After a loan spell at Norwich, he became a regular first-team midfielder before moving to Leicester City in 2024. He is currently on loan at Charlton Athletic, where he has started all four Championship games this season.2018: Harvey White White made three senior appearances for Spurs, including a Premier League debut against Crystal Palace in 2023. Despite impressing at academy level, he never established himself in the first team. After loans at Portsmouth and Derby, he joined Stevenage in 2023 and later Plymouth Argyle, where he has become a regular, contributing two goals and three assists this season.2019: Dermi Lusala Lusala never made a senior appearance for Tottenham and moved into non-league football after leaving the academy. He has played for Coventry City, Barwell, Buxton, Matlock and Dagenham & Redbridge, before joining Maidstone United in 2026, where he has made seven appearances.2020: Alfie Devine Devine made three senior appearances for Spurs, famously becoming the club’s youngest goalscorer against Marine aged 16. He struggled to establish himself in north London but impressed on loan at Preston in 2025/26, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in 45 Championship appearances. Preston made the move permanent, and he has started all eight league games this season.2021: Jamie Donley Donley has made four senior appearances for Spurs since his debut in 2023. He has gained experience on loan at Leyton Orient, Stoke and Oxford, and is currently at Luton Town for 2026/27. At 21, this spell could be crucial in determining whether he can make the step up.2022: Han Willhoft-King Willhoft-King never made a senior appearance for Spurs and left for Manchester City’s Under-21s in 2024. Injuries disrupted his progress, and he retired from professional football at 19. He is now studying law at Oxford University and plays university football.2023: Mikey Moore Moore has made 23 senior appearances for Spurs, including 14 in the Premier League. He impressed during Spurs’ Europa League-winning campaign before a loan spell at Rangers, where he scored seven goals in 33 appearances. He is now on loan at Köln in the Bundesliga, starting two of three league games so far.2024: George Feeney Feeney joined Spurs from Glentoran in 2024 and has yet to make his senior debut. He signed his first professional contract in January 2025 and has progressed to Under-21 football, though he remains at the development stage.2025: Luca Williams-Barnett Williams-Barnett made his senior debut in September 2025 and has one first-team appearance to date.
