Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday inaugurated major shipbuilding and maritime infrastructure projects at Hindustan Shipyard Limited in Visakhapatnam. He launched the Indian Navy’s first Fleet Support Ship, ‘Surya’, laid the keel for FSS-5 and inaugurated an upgraded slipway and 300-tonne Goliath crane capable of supporting construction of vessels up to 45,000 DWT.
