Our team is currently building AX Code, an open-source AI coding agent. The motivation is pretty simple: AI coding agents are becoming extremely capable, but we're wondering whether companies should have to choose between: powerful AI coding and software they can actually inspect and control We're building AX Code as a 100% open-source alternative. But we don't want to assume that "open source" automatically means trustworthy. So we'd like to hear from developers who actually use AI coding agents: What would you want to inspect or verify before running an open-source AI coding agent inside your development environment? And if you're interested, we'd love for you to test what we're building and tell us where it falls short. AX Code: https://ax-code.app/en/ We're still developing it, so we're looking for criticism and real-world feedback rather than a polished product review. submitted by /u/No-Wait-7495 [link] [comments]
