[Hiring] $150-200 Vintage, realistic outdoor t-shirt illustration for a fraternity chapter (US artist preferred)

Hey everyone! I'm looking for an artist to create the final artwork for a chapter t-shirt for the Beta Pi chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho (an agricultural fraternity) at Louisiana Tech in Ruston, LA. Shirts will be printed by a local licensed print shop. You will also recieve credit for the design if requested through our official instagram or social media. Quick note on the mockups: I used an AI tool to rough out the layout so I could show what I have in mind. The birds in them come from Audubon's public-domain plates. They're just a starting point for placement and text, and I'm specifically looking for a real artist to create the final piece, since I want something with genuine hand-crafted character. What I need One back-print illustration plus a small pocket emblem. I have two concepts. Feel free to quote one or both: Bayou – A brown pelican perched on a cypress limb or piling in a Louisiana cypress swamp at dusk, with Spanish moss, a tin-roof camp on stilts in the distance, and still-water reflections. Mallards – A group of mallards (drakes and hens) in marsh reeds at the edge of a cypress swamp, with a few ducks flying overhead and a shotgun shell standing on each side of the scene. Style Realistic, painterly animals with a worn vintage screen-print look, similar to the dog shirt I've attached. Not cartoony or flat clip art. Earthy, muted colors: navy, gold, rust/brown, cream, and sage. Art Used for concept: -"Brown Pelican" (adult male) by John James Audubon, Plate 251 of The Birds of America. The framed image is Audubon's original watercolor; the other pelican images are Robert Havell's engraved plate from the 1830s. -"Mallard Duck" by John James Audubon, Plate 221 of The Birds of America. One of the images is the later, smaller octavo edition of the same mallards, labeled "110. Mallard." -Dianne Parks Egret in swamp, unnamed. -Louisiana swamp print, unnamed, uncredited (could not find original artist credits.) Layout (see mockups) - "ALPHA GAMMA RHO" arched across the top in a Western/Tuscan slab font (navy with gold outline) - Arch-top (tombstone-shaped) frame holding the painted scene - Decorative post on each side: sugarcane for Bayou, shotgun shells for Mallards - Ribbon banner across the bottom of the scene with a script tagline: "Peaches, Pines & Brotherhood" (Bayou) or "Early Mornings & Cold Water" (Mallards) - Below that: "BETA PI," then "RUSTON · LOUISIANA," then a Louisiana state outline with a star on Ruston, flanked by "EST." and "2012" Pocket emblem (~3.5") Round patch with ΑΓΡ (Greek letters) in the center, "BETA PI" arched on top, "RUSTON, LA" along the bottom, "EST. 2012," and a small peach (Bayou) or flying ducks (Mallards). Should match the back print's style. Please don't include the official AGR crest or coat of arms. Our print shop handles trademark approval with the fraternity. Print specs - Shirt: Comfort Colors 6030 pocket tee in Moss (faded green) - Back print: ~12" wide × 14" tall | Pocket: ~3.5" - Printing: simulated-process screen print or DTF, so art needs to read well on a medium-green shirt Deliverables - 300 DPI transparent PNG at full print size - Vector or layered source file (AI, PSD, or PDF) - A distressed/vintage version and a clean version - Full commercial rights for the chapter to print and sell the shirts Budget: Up to $200 total.
