A list of seven possibles for the G1 Darley Dewhurst Stakes has been released, and it could become a showdown between heavyweight Classic contenders as Ballydoyle and Godolphin look to lock horns in the high-class juvenile contest.Desert Castle (Frankel) looks to confirm his effort at Doncaster as one of the seven possible entries for the Dewhurst at Newmarket on Saturday. The full-brother to two elite-level winners is owned by Godolphin and trained by Charley Appleby. The latter has won the contest three times since 2019, and also has Jassas (Dubawi) left on the list for the owner.Aidan O'Brien and Ballydoyle loom prominently with Darkness Falls (Camelot), the last-out winner of the G1 Golden Fleece Stakes, and Royal Ascot winner Great Barrier Reef (No Nay Never) as possible entries.
