Central Railway has earned Rs 323.50 crore through scrap sales between April and September 2026, the highest among Indian Railways’ zonal networks during the period. The revenue came from auctioning old tracks, worn-out sleepers, metal, e-waste and condemned locomotives, coaches and wagons under its Zero Scrap Mission.
