3.45 Navan, Mdn, 2yo, 8f 40yTBoasting the strongest maiden form in Europe, JESUS GREEN (Ghaiyyath) heads to Navan on Wednesday for that all-important confidence-boosting first win.Second to one his generation leaders Darkness Falls in last month's Golden Fleece Stakes newly promoted to Group 1 status, Chris So Chun Hung's 100,000gns Tattersalls October Book 2 purchase who is a relative of this year's Richmond Stakes winner and Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere third Man's Best Friend had the likes of Quest For Stars and Nola Soul behind and would only need a repeat of that performance to collect here.Among the other experienced members of the field are Ballydoyle's duo Aachen (Gun Runner) and Magna Cum Laude (Flightline), both of whom have not been seen since finishing third and 10th on debut at Dundalk in August. The former is a son of the Ingabelle Stakes winner Monday (Fastnet Rock) from the family of the high-class Misty For Me (Galileo), her War Front-sired son and daughter U S Navy Flag and Roly Poly and last year's Lagardere and Criterium International hero Puerto Rico, while Coolmore, Westerberg, Brant, Smith and St Elias's $950,000 Keeneland September purchase Magna Cum Laude is a half-brother to the Los Alamitos Futurity runner-up Blacksmith (Liam's Map) out of a full-sister to Curlin's San Carlos Stakes winner Cezanne and half to the Falmouth third Arabian Hope (Distorted Humor).Others of note include Marc Chan's homebred Selosse (Ire) (Siyouni {Fr}), a Jessica Harrington-trained half-brother to the 2024 Golden Fleece winner Green Impact who was fifth to Monogram at The Curragh last month; and the Ballydoyle newcomer Choctaw Nation (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), a son of the Listed-placed Sistine Madonna (Dark Angel) who is a full-sister to the useful San Andreas and Maggies Angel. Intriguingly, Wayne Lordan rides him in preference to the experienced runners.1.29 Nottingham, Novice, 2yo, f, 6f 18yTLady Bamford's silks were carried to TDN Rising Stardom by Claudette at Yarmouth on Monday and they are on display again at Nottingham on Wednesday with the 1.1million guineas Tattersalls October Book 1 graduate VENETIAN STORM (GB) (Night Of Thunder {Ire}) flying the flag.A half-sister to the Prix de l'Abbaye heroine Makarova (Acclamation), the Ed Walker trainee is opposed by seven rivals on debut including the Richard Hannon-trained Spell Catcher (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), whose dam is a full-sister to the dual Group-winning Belmont Derby third Hunting Horn (Camelot). Her dam is also a half-sister to the Beresford and Rose Of Lancaster winner and Vincent O'Brien National Stakes third David Livingston (Galileo).2.29 Nottingham, Novice, 2yo, 8f 75yTQuantum Leap Racing's PRINCE OF PETRA (IRE) (Persian King {Ire}) was knocked down to Jeremy Brummitt for what now appears a bargain €65,000 at last year's Arqana Deauville August Sale, just under three weeks before his half-brother Maltese Cross (Sea The Stars) debuted at Ascot.Maltese Cross has since gone on to hit heights in the Grand Prix de Paris and finish runner-up in the Derby, so Prince Of Petra suddenly has a lot to live up to as he starts out for Roger Varian. Among the four rivals he faces in this race which celebrates the Derby hero Oath are The King and The Queen's fellow newcomer Top Scholar (GB) (Frankel {GB}), a full-brother to the September Stakes third Warrant Holder and kin to the Stakes-placed Portfolio (Deep Impact), herself the dam of Frankel's Bahrain Trophy winner Point Of Law.Other contenders include Juddmonte's once-raced Caldo (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}), an Andrew Balding-trained grandson of the Beverly D. and Matriarch heroine Heat Haze (Green Desert); and Julian Richmond-Watson's once-raced Gainful (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}), a granddaughter of the Oaks heroine Look Here (Hernando) trained like her by Ralph Beckett.5.30 Kempton, Novice, 2yo, 7f (AWT) Juddmonte's family of Reams Of Verse and Elmaamul keeps supplying the goods and the two-year-old colt FENAROLI (GB) (Frankel {GB}) is the latest to emerge from the dynasty at Kempton on Wednesday.Trained by Harry Charlton, the newcomer is a half-brother to Dansili's multiple Graded-Stakes scorer and Arlington Million hero Set Piece who also started out at this track back in 2018. Another high-class runner from the family is Midday (Oasis Dream), whose talented half-sister Sun Maiden by Frankel was Group 1-placed while Midday's daughter of the operation's giant, Mori, was placed in the Ribblesdale.Fenaroli faces some peers with strong form already in the Teme Valley colour-bearer Byzantine (Ire) (St Mark's Basilica {Fr}), a George Boughey-trained colt who has not been seen since winning on debut at Yarmouth in May; and the Hugo Palmer-trained Newmarket runner-up Twelve Bars (Ire) (Space Blues {Ire}), while The King and The Queen's Lancaster Tower (GB) (Kingman {GB}) is surely better than he has shown in two starts for the Gosdens so far. A son of the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Castle Lady (Shamardal), he attracted support at both Sandown and York and his three-year-old half-brother Portcullis (Frankel) is one of this year's TDN Rising Star brigade. The post Jesus Green Looks To Lose His Maiden Tag At Navan appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
