Another Walt Disney World price increase arrived today, and the immediate numbers were already difficult for Annual Passholders to ignore.Disney raised the price of every Annual Pass tier on October 6, with the biggest single increase hitting the Disney Incredi-Pass. That pass jumped $120 overnight, climbing from $1,629 to $1,749 before tax.We covered that increase earlier today, but looking beyond the latest $120 jump reveals an even bigger story.Go back just five years to the launch of Disney World’s current Annual Pass program, and the change is staggering.Credit: DisneyThe Disney Incredi-Pass debuted at $1,299 in 2021. Following today’s increase, that same Annual Pass now costs $1,749.That’s an increase of $450 in only five years — or roughly 34.6%.Disney World’s Most Expensive Annual Pass Hits $1,749Disney didn’t limit today’s price increases to one Annual Pass. The Pixie Dust Pass increased from $489 to $499, while the Pirate Pass moved from $869 to $909. The Sorcerer Pass climbed from $1,099 to $1,139.Then there’s the Incredi-Pass.Disney raised its price from $1,629 to $1,749, making the $120 increase three times larger than the next-biggest dollar increase among Disney World’s Annual Passes. The Incredi-Pass remains Disney World’s premium Annual Pass and comes without blockout dates. It is also particularly important for Disney fans who don’t live in Florida.Florida residents can choose among all four Annual Pass tiers, while eligible Disney Vacation Club members can purchase either the Sorcerer Pass or Incredi-Pass. For other guests, including out-of-state fans who aren’t eligible DVC members, the Incredi-Pass is the only Annual Pass available. That makes the latest increase especially difficult to avoid for some of Disney World’s most frequent visitors. And today’s $120 increase is only part of the story. The Incredi-Pass Has Increased 34% Since 2021When Walt Disney World introduced its revamped Annual Pass program in September 2021, the Disney Incredi-Pass launched at $1,299.Five years later, the price has reached $1,749.That’s $450 more than the original price.Put another way, Disney has increased the price by approximately 34.6% since the Incredi-Pass launched.Someone looking at the Incredi-Pass in 2021 was dealing with a price just shy of $1,300 before tax. Today, the same tier has moved within striking distance of $1,800.That puts today’s announcement into a very different perspective.A $120 increase in a single year is substantial on its own. But zooming out shows just how quickly the cost of Disney World’s top Annual Pass has grown in a relatively short period. It also hasn’t been one isolated jump.Credit: DisneyDisney Has Raised the Price RepeatedlyThe recent trajectory shows just how consistently Disney has pushed the Incredi-Pass higher. In October 2023, the pass reached $1,449. Disney increased it to $1,549 in October 2024 before raising it again to $1,629 in October 2025.Now, in October 2026, it costs $1,749.That means the Incredi-Pass has increased by $300 in just the last three years.Today’s $120 jump is also larger than either of the previous two annual increases. Disney added $100 in 2024, followed by another $80 in 2025 and now $120 in 2026.For longtime Disney fans, that creates a much different Annual Pass landscape than the one introduced five years ago.The benefits of unlimited access without blockout dates can still make the Incredi-Pass valuable for guests who visit Walt Disney World frequently enough. But the amount visitors must spend upfront has changed dramatically.Out-of-State Disney Fans Have Few AlternativesPerhaps the most significant part of the increase is who has to pay it.A Florida resident who wants an Annual Pass can choose a cheaper tier and accept additional restrictions. An eligible Disney Vacation Club member also has access to the Sorcerer Pass.Other out-of-state guests don’t have that option. The Incredi-Pass is their only Annual Pass choice, meaning they either pay the new $1,749 price or skip Disney World’s Annual Pass program altogether. The difference between the Sorcerer Pass and Incredi-Pass has now grown to $610. The Incredi-Pass does provide the major advantage of having no blockout dates, while the lower tiers carry varying restrictions.Still, $1,749 before tax represents a major commitment, particularly for visitors who also have to budget for flights, hotels, food and transportation whenever they travel to Central Florida. For a couple purchasing two Incredi-Passes, the base cost is now $3,498 before tax. A family purchasing several passes would climb significantly higher.Disney World Prices Continue Moving HigherAnnual Passholders aren’t the only visitors seeing higher costs around Walt Disney World.Disney also adjusted some Lightning Lane prices today. Peak Lightning Lane Single Pass prices for certain major attractions increased by $1 to $3, while the maximum price of Lightning Lane Premier Pass increased by $50 at each park. That comes after years of other increases throughout the resort.Parking, theme park tickets, Annual Passes and premium services have all become important pieces of the vacation budget guests have to consider. For Annual Passholders, however, the five-year comparison may be one of the clearest examples of how much Disney World’s pricing has changed. The Incredi-Pass hasn’t simply crept upward by a few dollars each year.It has gone from $1,299 to $1,749.That’s a $450 increase in five years and a markup of roughly 34.6%.Credit: All photos Walt Disney World ResortFive Years Have Completely Changed the Annual Pass EquationDisney World’s Annual Pass program has always required guests to do some math.Someone visiting the parks dozens of times each year can still find considerable value in having an Annual Pass, particularly when factoring in its other benefits. Someone making only a few trips has a much harder decision. But the threshold keeps getting higher. In 2021, Disney asked guests to spend $1,299 for its top Annual Pass. Five years later, that starting commitment has grown by $450.Today’s increase makes that progression particularly striking because the Incredi-Pass didn’t merely receive another routine adjustment. Disney added $120 at once, taking the pass to a record $1,749.Annual Passholders can debate whether the benefits still justify the cost based on how often they visit. What can’t be debated is how dramatically the price has changed. In only five years, Walt Disney World’s most expensive Annual Pass has jumped approximately 34%.And after the largest one-year dollar increase of the past several years, the bigger question may be how much higher Disney is willing to take it.The post Walt Disney World Increases Annual Passes By 34% in Historic Markup appeared first on Inside the Magic.
