A little piece of Maltese transport history has found a special new home after Salvu Micallef donated a handcrafted model of a classic 1970s Maltese bus to Puttinu Cares.The intricate wooden model depicts one of Malta’s much-loved traditional buses from the Spinola route and was made entirely by hand.According to Puttinu Cares, countless hours of patience, skill and dedication went into creating the piece, with its details recalling the colourful buses that once dominated Malta’s roads.The foundation thanked Micallef for choosing to donate his creation.“Every detail captures the charm of the traditional buses that once travelled Malta’s roads, bringing back fond memories of a much-loved era,” Puttinu Cares said.“Thank you, Salvu, for this beautiful gesture.
