Karnataka observed significant growth in beer sales, rising by 41% in the first half of the fiscal year. Indian-made liquor sales, however, remained stable with a mere 1% increase during the same period. Revenue from beer and Indian-made liquor combined reached Rs 22,192 crore, reflecting a 13% growth year-on-year. Domestic liquor manufacturers had concerns regarding the regulatory framework that affected consumption patterns.
