And now, for October Prime Day, both are on sale, and the dumbbells are even cheaper than what I spent during last year's Black Friday sale. 55LBS Adjustable Dumbbells Set of 2, Durable Weights Dumbbells Set, 10 in 1 Free Weights Set with Anti-Slip Grip, Fast Adjust Gym Equipment Space Saving for Home Strength Training – Pair $254.99 at Amazon $299.99 Save $45.00 Get Deal Get Deal $254.99 at Amazon $299.99 Save $45.00 I've had 9+ months of regular use with both (plus intermittent use by my now-16-year-old, 6-foot son), and both still look and feel brand new. The dumbbells can be adjusted in five-pound increments from 10 pounds all the way up to 55; the bench can lie flat or be adjusted at eight different angles, including a decline position. (Plus, they match, if that sort of thing is important to you.)I was admittedly skeptical about how the padding on the seat of the bench would hold up over months and years of use; I've pre-emptively addressed that by adding a blanket to the seat when I use it, but it's likely not necessary. I've also caught my son as recently as two days ago dropping the weights to the ground as though he was standing on a padded gym floor, rather than a 100-year-old cement basement floor with unforgiving carpet, and they survived the abuse. If you live in a small home but want to create a little weight-lifting space for yourself, I highly recommend both of these products—especially while they're on sale for October Prime Day.
