India has requested World Trade Organisation consultations with the United States. This action concerns tariffs imposed on quartz surface products by America. The US measure will impose steep duties on imports starting August 15, 2026. India has a substantial interest in these engineered stone slab products. Consultations will be proposed virtually for mutual convenience.
