In the past, I have identified important setups in the market that have the potential to lead to strong trading opportunities on the short side as well. One of them is AMAT. The stock is forming a crucial pattern that is now confirming, potentially setting up a tremendous bearish wave next. When looking at my chart, we can see how AMAT is trading in this descending channel formation. In the upper boundary of the channel, AMAT has major resistance levels from where it has already rejected bearishly to the downside several times previously. Now, it is setting up the next bearish wave from here on, likely to lead to a massive bearish acceleration incoming. The most important part of this formation is the bear flag, which is now completing with the breakout below the lower boundary. This setup is confirming the next bearish wave to accelerate in the upcoming times. Also, the pullback from the 50-EMA is confirming this bearish dynamic.
