Rowdy-sheeter arrested under Goonda Act - The HinduPublished - August 15, 2026 01:25 am IST - BengaluruThe Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths on Thursday arrested a 23-year-old rowdy-sheeter under the Goonda Act for allegedly being involved in activities disturbing law and order and creating fear among the public.The accused, Vijay S., a rowdy-sheeter in the limits of the Kalasipalya and Siddapura Police Stations, was arrested by the CCB Organised Crime Wing (West Division) on August 13.According to the police, Vijay had been continuously involved in unlawful activities within the jurisdiction of various police stations in the city. He was allegedly involved in serious offences, including attempted murder and assault.The CCB Organised Crime Wing (West Division) had submitted a proposal to the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh, seeking his detention under the Goonda Act to prevent him from continuing his alleged unlawful activities.
