Tottenham are set to face Hoffenheim in their penultimate pre‑season match of the summer, and it’s time for our predicted Spurs XI.Tottenham Hotspur‘s penultimate pre-season game of the summer sees them come up against German side Hoffenheim.Spurs will be hoping to keep their unbeaten record so far in friendly games going when the two sides meet on Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.Interestingly, the two will also meet again in less than 24 hours, with another friendly match-up coming up on Sunday afternoon.Roberto De Zerbi will have to manage his squad well, and we have now attempted to predict his starting XI for the Saturday clashCredit: @tristram pearson/InstagramTottenham predicted XI vs HoffenheimGoalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky: The Czech international is set to be Tottenham’s number one choice for next season, and as such, we expect him to be used between the sticks in this friendly encounter.Right‑back – Archie Gray: Pedro Porro has made his Tottenham return following his extended break after making a deep run into the World Cup earlier this summer. However, the game on Saturday could be a bit too soon for the Spaniard, which should see Gray start.Centre‑back – Jan Paul van Hecke: The centre‑back featured against Chelsea and Getafe as De Zerbi looks to get him up to speed in north London. We expect more of the same this weekend.Centre‑back – Kevin Danso: The centre‑back was not involved against Getafe but featured in the clash between Spurs’ second team and their U21s. With minutes expected to be managed, Danso could feature here. However, Micky van de Ven remains an option De Zerbi could call on.Left‑back – Andy Robertson: Since featuring from the bench in the clash against Sydney back in Australia, Robertson has been a part of every other De Zerbi squad this pre‑season and we expect that trend to continue against Hoffenheim.Defensive midfielder – Sandro Tonali: The new signing has been involved in a handful of pre‑season outings this summer, even featuring in back‑to‑back games against Chelsea and Getafe. It could now be three in a row.Centre‑midfielder – Mateus Fernandes: After successfully battling what was a minor calf problem and fitness issues, Fernandes returned to action in the clash between Spurs’ second team and the U21s. This time, though, we expect De Zerbi to have the Portuguese midfielder line up in front of several thousand Tottenham fans.Centre‑midfielder – Conor Gallagher: James Maddison is yet to feature in pre‑season and could be a substitute against Hoffenheim on Saturday. The Englishman recently clarified that he is not nursing a hip problem. It remains to be seen if he will be thrown straight into the mix. If he is not involved from the off, then we expect Gallagher to line up in the number ten spot.Left‑winger – Mikey Moore: With Manor Solomon having now departed to West Ham United, and Spurs still yet to bring in a new winger, Moore is poised to start against Hoffenheim, although he is edging closer to a move to Germany.Striker – Richarlison: Dominic Solanke is a doubt after picking up what can be described as an injury scare, and as such Richarlison should lead the line.Right‑winger – Mathys Tel: The wide forward remains one of the rare bright sparks at Tottenham and we expect him to take his spot on the right of Spurs’ attack.Who makes your predicted Tottenham XI?READ MORE: Savinho to Tottenham: Fabrizio Romano drops his biggest hint yet after training twistThe post Predicted Tottenham XI to face Hoffenheim on Saturday as Mateus Fernandes starts appeared first on Spurs Web.
