Spoilers below.Nobody Wants This season 2 saw our favorite unlikely couple—Joanne (Kristen Bell), an agnostic sex podcaster, and Noah (Adam Brody), a charming rabbi—trying to make their relationship work despite their cultural differences. But what could be next for the duo after that dramatic finale? Here’s what we know about season 3 of Nobody Wants This.Has Nobody Wants This been renewed for season 3?Yes. Netflix renewed Nobody Wants This for a third season in November 2025 and confirmed that the series will return in 2026.“We are so grateful to Netflix and 20th for giving us another season of Nobody Wants This,” co-showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan said in a statement to Deadline. “This job is criminally fun. Working with the uniquely gifted Erin Foster, this unbelievable cast of talented, hilarious pros, amazing writers, and incredible crew has been a truly great experience. Go Dodgers!” The series will continue filming in Los Angeles. What would Nobody Wants This season 3 be about? After finally coming together in season 1, season 2 shows Joanne and Noah trying to take their relationship to a deeper level, but they struggle to take the next step, whether it’s moving in together or Joanne converting to Judaism. In the season 2 finale, they break up briefly, only to ultimately choose each other (again) in the end. “I think it’s clear that if there’s a season 3, then [Joanne] will be on her journey converting,” Foster told TheWrap.According to Deadline, the new season will likely follow Joanne as she begins her conversion to Judaism—a storyline teased in the finale and one that will shift the story’s momentum forward after season 2’s more introspective arc.Season 2 showrunner Jenni Konner spoke to ELLE about the possibilities for season 3: “We have so many stories we still want to tell,” she said. “We want to continue to explore the characters we haven’t really explored, and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun...and it would answer a lot of questions you might leave season 2 with.”NetflixBell and Brody also weighed in on some season 3 predictions with USA Today. Bell said, “Personally, I see a lot of comedy coming out of Joanne attempting to study to take the Jewish SATs for conversion. I’d love to have Joanne have to memorize some facts and crack open some books. I think that would be comedically entertaining for me to play at least.”Brody added, “And there’s so many relatable things and benchmarks that go into building a life together that they’ve yet to really embark on that.”In her August 2026 interview with ELLE, Bell hinted that fans will see how Noah and Joanne’s relationship evolves.“Season 1 and even a bit of season 2 were a ‘will they, won’t they’ kind of show. In season 3, Noah and Joanne have already made the commitment to each other,” she explained, noting that Foster has used some of the difficulties in her own marriage to inform Noah and Joanne’s struggles. “Noah and Joanne are really trying to figure out what the rest of their life looks like together. It is some of the best comedy to mine from.”Other characters on Nobody Wants This will also get a chance to thrive in season 3. “People can be prepared to see the world of the show in a much bigger and totally different way,” Bell added. “The other characters are uplifted in that they’re all main characters now. It’s no longer just about Noah and Joanne. It’s about their whole family organism and how they’re operating together. Tim Simons, Justine Lupe, and Jackie Tohn all have great storylines.”Who would be in the season 3 cast?Series regulars Kristen Bell, Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn are slated to return. In addition to those cast members, Netflix announced on April 9 that three actors will play recurring cast members:Andrew Rannells (Girls, Book of Mormon) will play Sebastien, “Joanne’s nemesis in conversion class.”Keyla Monterroso Mejia (The Studio, Abbott Elementary) will star as Amber, “a single woman enrolled in Joanne’s Intro to Judaism class who is obsessed with finding a Jewish husband.”Sarah Silverman (PostMortem, Maestro) will portray Rabbi Eden, “the warm, quirky teacher of an Intro to Judaism class, and a supportive presence for Joanne and Noah.”Guest stars on Nobody Wants This season 3 include:Avan Jogia (56 Days, Our Hero, Balthazar) as Travis, “a confident and unbothered guy’s guy who enjoys getting under Joanne’s skin.”Show creator Erin Foster as Nicole, “terminally single and chaotic mess... She’s Joanne if everything had gone wrong for her life.”Poorna Jagannathan (Deli Boys, Lanterns) as Eleanor, “Sebastien’s brassy and biting aunt.”Sadie Sandler (Roommates) as Denise, “a young psychic who gives a reading to Morgan.”Stephanie Koenig (English Teacher, Lessons in Chemistry) as Poppy, “a sardonic dating app regular who tries her luck with Sasha.”Steven Weber (Wings, Chicago Med) as Julian, “a funny, grounded, cool, and secure divorced dad.”This post will be updated.
