Instead, the price slipped back at the start of the current week, delaying the expected gains. Our primary view is that AMD is in the final stages of a higher-degree uptrend. The corresponding top should form within our red Target Zone between $689.65 and $762.45, after which we expect a more pronounced correction. Under our alternative scenario, however, AMD would have already completed the uptrend and would therefore be in a higher-degree correction. In this case, the next step would be a sell-off below the support at $424.03, while our red Target Zone would no longer come into play. We assign this scenario a probability of 33%.
