USDDKK Trade Review: Profit BookedUSD/DKKOANDA:USDDKKCashFalconAction Items - Draw up 4-week target level for USD/DKK - Continue holding the running Aussie dollar trade - Focus upcoming trading on gold and Aussie dollar - Consider adding USD/DKK to regular watchlist based on trend behavior Context & Disclaimer **This recording is a personal trading journal for self-reflection and review, not trading or investment advice** - This is meant for accountability: reviewing wins, losses, and missed opportunities - This is a follow-up to a prior video where this USD/DKK idea was originally discussed Trading Background - I trade trends (uptrends/downtrends) and avoid chop - I use higher-timeframe daily swing levels (black levels) for take-profit targeting - I stay disciplined with a minimum R:R requirement (3:1) USDDKK Trade Review - Pair: USD/DKK (US Dollar / Danish Krone) - Period: August 9–15 (entry was on or around the 9th/10th) - Result: Take profit booked successfully at 4.16:1 reward-to-risk - Minimum R:R rule: 3:1 (this is why I did not take the closer target) - Thesis: Downtrend continuation — I stayed in the trade as long as price held below the key level after the pullback Entry & Analysis (FIB + Structure) - Used Fibonacci (FIB) levels on the 4H to map the key swing high/low - Entered when price broke back below a key FIB level, confirming continuation of the downtrend - Breaking the prior swing low was a big confirmation of the downtrend forming Take Profit Logic (Daily Swing Levels) - TP was placed at a daily swing level with clear historical buyer activity - I primarily use black swing levels on the daily as TP targets (fresh/untouched levels) Extra Note: 9-Hour Timeframe Discovery - I kept stepping up timeframes to see what caused the reversal and found a key body touch on the 9H chart - This level wasn’t as clear on the daily/8H — the 9H showed the candle body I needed - That helped confirm the level wasn’t especially strong, which gave me confidence to hold the trade Market Notes (News Risk) - I separate scheduled news (economic data) from unscheduled news (geopolitical events, earthquakes, etc.) - With how frequent unscheduled news has been lately, I’m staying more cautious - shout out to @oktane for bringing this currency pair to my attention. Thanks bro! Observation: USD/DKK Pair Behavior - I don’t usually trade USD/DKK, but structure was clear and trend-friendly - This pair tends to pick a direction and not sit in consolidation for long - The 4-week chart showed strong trending behavior — I’m considering trading it more regularly
